One Nation March for Social and Economic Justice

One Nation March for Jobs, Justice and Peace / Saturday, October 2nd / Washington, D.C.

On Saturday, October 2nd, hundreds of thousands of working people, union members, students, retirees, and civil rights and community activists will converge on Washington D.C. to peacefully rally for Jobs and a Just Economy. Our Union, along with the entire labor movement, the NAACP and countless other organizations have endorsed this historic march to call for the creation of millions of good jobs and the reform of Wall Street and our immigration system. Together we will send a united message to the obstructionists in Congress that we are the majority, we are diverse but united and together we will fight for social and economic justice. The UAW will be sponsoring free buses to Washington D.C. that day, open to all union members, their families and friends.

Buses will leave early Saturday morning (approximately 6 am) and return in the evening (approximately 10 pm). There will be snacks available on the bus and everyone will receive a $15 food stipend for lunch. Depending upon the number of people who sign up, buses will leave from the Columbia University area (near W. 116th Street), the NYU area, and midtown (near W. 38th St.). We will try to accommodate your preferred location.

Local 2110 Officers, stewards and staff will be out in full force along with UAW President Bob King and NAACP Executive Director Benjamin Jealous. Two years ago, we voted for change. Let’s make it a reality by standing together on Saturday, October 2nd . Please join us for this peaceful and historic march. Click here to reserve seats on the bus.
