GSOC holds regular meetings that all members are welcome to attend!
Monthly Membership Meetings (MMM)
Held at 4:30pm every third Tuesday of the month, our MMMs are where we discuss updates on what’s happening across GSOC, hold elections for Stewards, Unit Representatives, and Organizing Committee Co-Chairs, and vote on major decisions that affect our members!
We hold MMMs in a hybrid format, both in-person at Silver 120 (AKA the GSAS Graduate Student Lounge) and on Zoom. RSVPs are emailed to members a week before each meeting. Keep an eye on your inbox or contact us if you want to join!
Organizing Committee (OC) Meetings
Our weekly OC meetings are where we delve into our organizing work across all workplaces. Join our OC meetings to discuss what’s happening in your department, collaborate on strategies to reach out to members, and build graduate worker power across campus!
This semester, OC meetings happen every Wednesday at 3:00pm, both in-person and on Zoom. You can find more information on the calendar below. We encourage all members to come to OC meetings, from the newest card signer to seasoned leaders!
GSOC 100 Orientations
Joined GSOC but confused about what a union is, what your benefits are, or what you can do to get involved? Our monthly GSOC 100 orientations are here to provide you with a primer on everything about being a member of GSOC, introduce you to other members and outline different ways to get plugged in.
These orientations are held right before our MMMs at 3:30pm. RSVPS for GSOC 100s go out a week beforehand. Keep an eye on your inbox or reach out to us if you want to join!
Working Group Meetings
GSOC’s Working Groups hold regular meetings to focus on specific issues and campaigns. The current working groups, which fluctuate over time according to need, include Contract Campaign, Health and Safety, International Students, Hardship Fund, among others.
